In a ceremony marking ‘2019 Trade Security Day’ at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Seoul on July 3, our company won the commendation of the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy. The award was awarded in recognition of its contribution to the government-led policy improvement in advanced export control by establishing its own self-compliance system to thoroughly comply with foreign trade-related statutes and actively propagating its advanced management system to the outside world.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Strategic Materials Management Institute, the day's ceremony was held with more than 200 foreign envoys from each country and related organizations, including domestic and foreign organizations. In addition, the award was given to companies that have contributed to the export management of strategic goods, trade and security merit, and outstanding students of strategic materials promotion support.

In addition to the award ceremony, the ceremony provided training for exporters' managers to raise awareness of the strategic materials management system, and also provided a strategic goods item exhibition hall in which our company sponsored carbon fiber-related products to help the participants understand.

Meanwhile, Toray Industries, Inc. was designated as the highest level of self-compliant trading trader (AAA grade) in April 2014, and was recently reassigned to the same rating in April 2019. The award is all the more meaningful as it is the third award received by a group following the individual awards in 2014 and 2016.
