- TAK develops 'SNOLENE’, a High-Performance Cooling Yarn
- News2025-05-09

Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK) (CEO Kim Young-seop) announced that it has developed 'SNOLENE', a cooling yarn that is harmless to the human body, using its proprietary technology.
SNOLENE features excellent thermal conductivity and cooling performance, allowing it to quickly disperse heat upon contact with the skin and provide an immediate cooling sensation. Wearing products made with SNOLENE can reduce the perceived temperature by approximately 3 to 6°C during the summer.
The yarn also offers outstanding stain resistance, making it safe and hygienic. Its low moisture absorption allows sweat to evaporate quickly and helps the fabric dry fast, maintaining comfort. Additionally, it is extremely lightweight and soft to the touch, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as bedding and garments that come into direct contact with the skin.
TAK official stated, “Demand for cooling fibers is rapidly increasing due to ongoing heatwaves and climate change,” adding, “TAK will continue to build trust by proactively addressing customer needs through the development of innovative materials that align with ESG trends.”
