Three employees of Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK) received commendations from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Federation of Textile Industries at the 36th Textile Day ceremony held at the Textile Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 11th.

At the ceremony attended by around 300 key figures, including Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Jang Young-jin, Gold and Silver Tower Orders of Industrial Service Merit, Industrial Service Medal, Presidential Commendation, Prime Minister Citation, and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy were awarded to those who contributed to the development of the textile and fashion industry.

At Toray Advanced Materials Korea, Kim Seok-no, SB Department Manager, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy commendation in recognition of their achievements in process stabilization.

Jeong Ji-geun, Paper Business TFT Team Leader, was honored with the commendation from the president of the Federation of Textile Industries in recognition of his achievements in developing Korea’s first dry-process meta-aramid, while Kim Joo-hwan, PP Sales Team Manager was also honored with the commendation from the president of the Federation of Textile Industries for pioneering potential export markets.

"With today's awards, we will work harder and strive for the co-prosperity and continuous development of the company and the textile industry" said the Awardees.

Textile Day was held on November 11, 1987 to make it easier for the sustainable growth of the domestic textile industry, which had to be found again to pay off 10 billion dollars, thanks to the efforts of textile fashionistas who devoted themselves to industrial development. The event has been held every year until now.
