Toray Advanced Materials Korea (TAK) hosted a tour of its R&D Center and a team project presentation session for undergraduate students from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Korea University, as part of the university’s Knowledge Management course.

The course was jointly conducted with TAK, where the company’s R&D team leaders delivered lectures throughout the semester. The lectures introduced TAK’s core technologies and business areas, including polymer engineering, battery materials, water treatment, and carbon fiber, helping students better understand the company’s technological capabilities and market competitiveness.

As part of the final presentation, student teams selected one of TAK’s business areas and proposed new product ideas along with analyses of future industry trends. The presentations were evaluated by a panel including two Korea University professors and Lee Namhee, the Head of TAK’s R&D Center, who selected the winning teams.

Following the presentation session, students toured TAK’s R&D facilities, gaining firsthand exposure to the company’s research environment and technological strengths.
