Toray Advanced Materials Korea (CEO Kim Young-seop) held a military experience program with its sister unit, the 5th Artillery Brigade, from August 5 to 6. The two-day program was attended by 40 employees and their elementary school-aged children.
The program began with a welcoming ceremony upon arrival at the unit. On the first day, participants were introduced to the brigade and experienced various aspects of military life, including hands-on activities with combat equipment such as firearms, self-propelled artillery, and other military supplies. They also stayed overnight in the barracks, offering a rare glimpse into soldiers' daily routines.
On the second day, participants joined a DMZ Peace Tour, visiting key sites such as infiltration tunnels, the Peace Observatory, and the Cheorwon History and Culture Park. The tour provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of national security and peace.
In addition to the donation made in April, Toray Advanced Materials Korea provided an additional contribution of KRW 10 million to the sister unit to boost morale and support the well-being of its soldiers.
Employees who participated in the program shared, “It was a meaningful opportunity to experience military culture with our children and to truly understand the value of national defense,” adding, “We express our sincere gratitude to the soldiers who devote themselves to protecting our country.”
