TAK Donates Braille Practice Books for Visually Impaired Children

Toray Advanced Materials Korea (CEO Kim Young-seop) announced that it has donated 60 Braille practice books, handmade by employees and their children, to the social welfare organization Changemaker to support the education of visually impaired children.

The Braille practice books are tactile teaching aids that allow Braille characters to be easily attached and removed for practice. Their playful design, combined with fun explanations, sparks children’s interest in Braille and enhances learning effectiveness.

In addition, the books are beneficial not only for visually impaired children but also for adults who have acquired severe visual impairments later in life, helping to reduce the rate of Braille illiteracy.

Employees who took part in the volunteer activity said, “It was even more meaningful to participate with our children, and it gave us an opportunity to reflect on the importance of building a more inclusive and communicative society.”

Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK) has been making and donating various Braille learning materials every year, including Braille storybooks, posters, and cubes. It plans to continue its sharing activities to support the visually impaired as well as other underprivileged groups in society.
