Toray Advanced Materials Korea(TAK) is strengthening its presence in the functional textile market with the launch of DEO Shield™, an odor-control functional yarn designed to help manage body odor in everyday life throughout all four seasons, including the hot and sweaty summer months.

DEO Shield™ features an odor-control function applied directly to the yarn itself, helping to effectively reduce odor-causing substances. It also offers excellent durability, maintaining its functionality even after repeated washing. These features provide consumers with a more hygienic and refreshing wearing experience.

When blended with SNOLENE, TAK’s cooling yarn launched last year, DEO Shield™ can offer both cooling performance and comfort depending on the intended use of the final product. This is expected to further expand its potential as a functional material for summer applications.

With the launch of DEO Shield™, TAK has expanded its product portfolio beyond cooling pads and bedding materials to include odor-control functional materials. The company will continue to provide differentiated value to customers by expanding its lineup of high-performance materials.
