TTCE (Toray Textiles Central Europe s.r.o.) participated in Automotive Interiors Expo Europe 2026, held in Germany from June 23 to 25, to respond to changes in the European automotive materials market. At the exhibition, TTCE showcased “Airlite®,” a high-performance sound-absorbing material for automotive applications, and its newly developed material “Airlite® MonoPP.”

“Airlite®” is a lightweight nonwoven sound-absorbing material based on a melt-blown process that combines polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET). It is characterized by excellent sound absorption performance across a wide range of frequencies.

The newly introduced “Airlite® MonoPP” retains the strengths of the existing Airlite® while simplifying the material composition to a single PP material. This enables material integration with PP-based automotive interior materials.

As European Union (EU) regulations related to end-of-life vehicle treatment continue to become stricter, designs that facilitate material separation and recycling at the vehicle disposal stage are becoming increasingly important. Airlite® MonoPP is expected to respond to these market needs.

TTCE also introduced changes in the European automotive market, the development direction of Airlite® MonoPP, and its technical features at a conference held during the exhibition, receiving positive responses from participants.
