The 6th Korea Safe SUMMIT was held for Korea Toray Group's No-Disaster-Free

The 6th Korea Toray Safety SUMMIT, a venue to raise the safety awareness of former executives and employees of the Korea Toray Group and share safety activities and information to achieve disaster-free goals, was held at the conference room of the Technology Research Institute at the Gumi 4th plant on May 15.

The summit was attended by some 50 executives and employees of TAK, STEMCO, TBSK, TBCK, TIK and TEK, including Chairman Lee Young-kwan, Vice Chairman Kataoka and CEO Jeon Hae-sang.

Chairman Lee Young-kwan stressed the importance of 3S in his greeting as the most basic activity for safety and called for the following three points:

First, managers should have a sense of duty and "coach safety" to the site.
Second, fire accidents should be prevented by strengthening the management of old facilities.
Third, we should actively respond to the tightened environmental regulations.

The field safety inspection team conducted a fire drill in conjunction with a nearby fire station to respond to chemical leakage fire.

In addition, Professor Kwon Hyuk-myun of Yonsei University gave lectures on analyzing the causes of accidents at chemical plants and how the company should build a safety system under the theme of "Efficient Accident Prevention Approach."
